Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Consultations

What do I need to do before the consultation?

I will send you my intake forms to complete online.

What happens if I cannot attend my consultation?

I would be grateful for as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend a consultation. If 48-hours notice of a cancellation is not given, unless there are exceptional circumstances, I will require payment for the missed consultation.

Do you offer consultations via Zoom?
Yes, the vast majority of my consultations are conducted via Zoom. If you would prefer to meet in person, please let me know.

What are your clinic hours?

My clinic hours are usually:

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 9am to 5.30 pm.

Wednesday and Friday: 9am to 4pm.

How do I book?

Consultations are booked directly with me during the free 30 minute Zoom call.

I would like a one-off appointment. Is this possible?

Yes, this is possible. Please book a free 30 minute Zoom call and we can discuss your requirements.

Testing

What are functional tests?

Functional tests look at a variety of biomarkers to assess whether your body is functioning optimally. They usually have narrower reference ranges than standard NHS tests as they seek to assess optimum function. Functional tests may be blood tests or require saliva, urine or stool samples. Payment for all functional tests must be made directly to the service provider.

How do I organise functional testing?

I will organise the testing for you directly with the laboratory or I will send you the link to order the test yourself directly from the laboratory. Many test samples can be collected at home. There may be occasions upon which a blood draw is necessary and I will discuss how to make the necessary arrangements with you.

How long does the testing take?

This depends upon the type of functional testing which is required. The results usually take at least 10 working days to be returned.

GPs and Consultants

Should I tell my GP or Consultant that I am seeing you?

Yes, please.

I feel great, can I stop my medication?

No. You must never stop taking prescribed medication without the consent of your GP or Consultant.
